Objectives:

The objectives of the bulk uploading of KPI and appraisal setup is to:

• Be able to understand how to upload KPIs in bulk.
• Understand how KPIs are linked to KPI type and groups
• Be able to upload KPI details in bulk (excel or CSV format)
• Be able to successfully set up multiple appraisal template

Description:

Seeking to have an option where they can have a bulk uploading option. The current option available in the system is not being utilized because it is not user-friendly and consumed a lot of time if you have more than a hundred appraisals to set up.  The proposed solution is to design the application to automatically create code when the description is uploaded. This should apply to Groups, KPI Type, and KPIs.

Purpose: The main purpose of this upload is to save time. Currently, it takes 1 month to ensure all KPI’s are in place for the appraisal period.

Note:

1. Agreed to use "Integration ~> File Import"
2. 5 upload templates will be created
3. Standard Validations will apply

Effort: 8 hrs

In terms of standard validations of the 5 templates below– Does the system do the check of the description inserted in the template. if it exists then get code ELSE create record. This is to eliminate creating duplicate records in the database.

For Example in Template #3:

I want to upload a KPI description “Total Income collected from Fees” the system will check the database table with the exact description if it exists the utilize the code ELSE create record.

Also attached template that I currently used to create bulk appraisal which does the check before uploading in the backend.

Hi Aarti, clarification on Comment 17 item 2.2.

The dropdown added relates to the Upload type. When A file is uploaded, before you validate, you choose the "Upload Type". Usually, I am able to automatically determine the "upload type" based on the first line of the import file, however, you can change this before validating.

I noticed that for file "CompanyAdministrationDropdown" it was validated successfully after I selected the "Upload type". When the "Upload type" was left blank, the validation was failing.

Is "Upload type" a mandatory field to select?

There are 2 issues:

1. The "upload type" didn't populate for ""CompanyAdministrationDropdown"
2. There was no error message logged that the "upload type" is missing

The issue was caused by the Dropdown definition having a different description to the Upload File Header line.

The issue has been corrected and will be available in the next update.
