Can you can provide steps to install two versions of LinkSOFT on the same machine please.

The production and UAT is hosted on same server Version 15.80. UAT needs to be upgraded to current version for testing.

Hi Monica,

Here are the high level steps to install two versions of  LinkSOFT on the same machine.

Assume you want to run 15.03 and 16.04 on the same machine. Here are the steps:

  1. Install LinkSOFT 15.03
  2. Copy the site files ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Link Technologies\LinkWEB") to a new folder and name it LinkSOFT-15.03. e.g. Copy "C:\Program Files (x86)\Link Technologies\LinkWEB" to "D:\Websites\LinkSOFT-15.03"
  3. Install LinkSOFT 16.04
  4. Copy the site files ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Link Technologies\LinkWEB") to a new folder and name it LinkSOFT-16.04. e.g. Copy "C:\Program Files (x86)\Link Technologies\LinkWEB" to "D:\Websites\LinkSOFT-16.04"
  5. Setup a new site in IIS named http://localhost/LinkSOFT-15.03 and point it to "D:\Websites\LinkSOFT-15.03". Edit the Web.Config and point it to the correct database.
  6. Setup a new site in IIS named http://localhost/LinkSOFT-16.04 and point it to "D:\Websites\LinkSOFT-16.04". Edit the Web.Config and point it to the correct database.

You should now be able to access the two versions using the url in 5 and 6 above.
