Subject: Annual leave is over-accrued from privileges defined in the leave codes.
Summary:    
Hi Sanjay

We have identified that an additional accrual is being passed as a system entry upon AL rollover.

The additional hours make the system AL balance slightly more than what it should be, as compared to our manual verification or as per the set Privilege/Allocation on the leave code.

The following was tested in the environment below:

  3. Created Employee ID - 20180 & 9900
  4. Leave code AL1 & AL5
  5. Processed one year's pay to align with the anniversary rollover on annual leave.

Setup summary:

  1. Leave Setup for Employee Code 20180. Leave Code: AL1. Company: 1006
  2. Leave Start Date: 24/11/2027 to 23/22/2028
  3. Pay Period - By Monthly. Processed 15th and End Of Month

Preliminary investigation:

  1. Excess Allocation of 1.53 is calculated based on "Leave Start Date" being before the New Year Pay period. i.e. 24th November 2027 to End of Month (30/11/2027) = 7 days
  2. 7 days leave based on 80 hours allocation for the year. 2028 is a leap year, so the allocation is: Formula: (Allocation per year / Days in Year) * Leave Days
  3. Value of allocation: (80/366) * 7 = 1.53

PART A - Development work for this case has been completed.

1. The change will be available in version: 16.40 and Patch 16.03.260722

2. The following changes were made (Include Database object names, Program classes, and any other relevant information):

  1. When calculating accrual for "Anniversary" Leave, we need to handle "Leave End Date" that is in-between a pay period.
  2. For this instance, leave accrual is based on "Pay Start Date" and "Leave End Date" for the specific year.

3. Affected Areas:

  1. Leave accruals for Rollover type: Anniversary where the leave ends inbetween a Pay Period.

4. The issue was caused by:

  1. Handle Leave Accrual for 3.1 above
