Subject: Upgrade process error handling should log issues for the administrator to review POST upgrade.
Summary:    

When upgrading process fails at the 99996 script, we are not able to re-run upgrade.

Things to correct:

  1. Check if the database is a LinKSOFT DB. currently, we are checking for SY_COMPANY.
  2. Upgrade log insert to be done directly instead of a procedure

PART A - Development work for this case has been completed.

1. The change will be available in version:12.30.1218

2. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes and any other relevant information):

  1. Upgrade utility now looks at the existence of table SY_CONTROL to determine if it is a LinkSOFT database
  2. Changed the base upgrade script to recreate log insert if it does not exist.
