Subject: POS Processing screen to change screen color (Grid Back Color) on different transactions
Summary:    
The objective of this case is to add differentiation to the types of transactions in the LinkPOS grid.

The client has faced issues where the cashiers have processed full payments on credit sales assuming the transaction is a "Cash Sales" as the payment option is available to take partial payments. 
  1. Users want the full grid color to be different for each transaction type.
    1. This will assist the users in not making mistakes as the grid color would highlight the transaction type. 
  2. Another Alternative is to show a watermark on the screen to differentiate from Cash, Credit, Layby, and Quotation screens

Hi Team,

The following was discussed in our development meeting.

  1. In order to process a credit sale, the cashier needs to select the "Credit' tab which is highlighted in red. This is a clear indication that a credit sale is been processed.
  2. The issue in the case header reflects that the users need training.
  3. We can not add colors to the current screen as it will conflict with the grid color settings in LinkPOS.
  4. In addition, there is no assurance that adding colors will resolve the concern in the case header as the option to take payments will be available.
Workaround

  1. Disable the "Credit Sale" access for the cashier. This will alert the cashier.
  2. Supervisors can allow access and monitor sales processing.

Next Step - Vineshwar to discuss the option with the client.
