Subject: New Database - Cannot access POS
Summary:

There's some issues with menu's in new database in version 15.61.

Apparently, it has less menus. I created one and upgraded it. I couldn't log into POS as it kept telling me User Admin does not have access to POS when all POS menus access was given to this user. Then I searched for menu 626-1 and that menu is not available in the new database. I did a compare of POS menu between demo and new database.

Demo DB has 282 POS Menu's, New only has 263

Please assist as I have uploaded the data on this new DB already for Inventory

I manually ran this to fix the issue. LT_SAA_Menu_ReBuild

Hi Vineet,

I have tested this on V15.61 and could not see the issue. Without having to run any scripts, I was able to perform POS transactions.

Please see steps below and let me know what is different in your scenario:

  1. Install LinkSOFT 15.61
  2. Create LinkSOFT-NEW and LinkSOFT-DEMO (using the different DB options).
  3. Login to LinkSOFT-NEW.
    1. Give "administrator" role access to all menus. there are 704 menu items
    2. Change Company Name to "Link Technologies - DEMO"
    3. Retrieve Licence
  4. Create an inventory Item
  5. Log into POS and make a cash sale
  6. Repeat steps 3, 4 and 5 above using LinkSOFT-DEMO
