Subject: "Allow Negative" gets enabled when creating a new item on "Product Master"
Summary:    "Allow Negative" gets enabled when creating a new item on "Product Master". This should be disabled as we want to control Stock when using an Inventory Management system. Businesses can enable this manually if they practise Negative stocks but the responsibility will be on them.

Steps to replicate the issue:
  1. Set "Automatically create all locations when an item is saved in Product Master (Y/N)" to "Y"
  2. Create an item on the Product Master
  3. "Location" gets added automatically
  4. "Allow Negative" gets enabled automatically
Note:
  1. We can achieve this by disabling the "Automatically create all locations..." configuration
  2. The user will then have to manually add the location and NOT tick the "Allow Negative" check box
  3. However, there are clients that have multiple locations (5+) and it can become a tedious task when creating multiple items

*** Skype discussion with Vineet ***

Discussion notes:

  1. It was designed with the intention that if items has been placed on the shelf without being entered in the system first and customer get the item, the supervisors can create this and enter the price an sell it without having to adjust the stock in first. This is used by some of my supermarkets for fast creation and to avoid frustrated customers
  2. In this case, we will most likely have a configuration that drives this.
  3. The exact design will be done before 15.70 development starts and I will run this by you before starting any work.
