Subject: Leave marked as TAKEN after the Leave Allocation is used up causes negative leave balance
Summary:

Leave balance can be negative in some instances, like in the example shown below:

  1. Allocate Bereavement Leave in the Year 2024. Let's say the leave is 24 hours and is a One-off allocation that has NO rollover.
  2. Apply for Bereavement Leave in 2024 and get approval. Do not mark the leave as TAKEN
  3. Process a Year Rollover for 2024. Notice the 24 hours of Leave is Forfeited as it is marked as "No Rollover"
  4. Now mark the Leave in 2. above as Taken and process pay in 2025

Note that after step 4, Bereavement leave shows Negative Leave both in the Allocation Screen as well as in the Leave Liability report.
