The VMS Receipts printed has incorrect POS Time. Refer to figure 1.1 below. The transaction was processed at 4.30 pm. POS time displayed is 04:31 am

Cannot be reproduced on Demo as it does not have the appropriate SDC configured

  1. Printing a copy of the VMS receipt and verifying the POS Time

Hi Vineet, the "POS TIME" and the "SDC Time" are both extracted from the SDC device based on the POS Time input when the POS invoice is signed.

The report date is the system date when the report was run.

The VMS system is validated against the TMS system provided for certification, therefore to assist with specific vendor issues, you will need to set up the environment and provide me with details on this issue so I can help you and the SDC vendor work out where the issue is. Similar to the way you reported the INSPUR device issue.

I don't think this is SDC specific issue, I can reproduce this by connecting to TIMS in Samoa and ill get a different POS and SDC time, this is because my machine is AEST and Samoa is a different time zone, so SDC time is different from POS time. I will need to investigate further.

I have verified this at 5 sites on version 13. Their Region is English Fiji. Time synced with internet time

It's POS time on the receipt that is incorrect

So not sure if its to do with SoftSDC

no, it's not SoftSDC specific, the time entries you highlighted is returned by the signing device. so basically the POS sends 4.30 PM, and the signing device returns the POS and SDC time to print on the report

Hi Vineet, I have reproduced this issue using the development system FRCS provided. Seems like the POS Time needs to be translated to UTC "Z" format. I will investigate further and get a patch for 13.20 asap.

FRCS has confirmed the following:

  1. Input time (DateAndTimeOfIssue) needs to be in ISO 8601, however, the example provided in the Developer guide is in UTC or "Z" (Zulu) time
  2. The POS Time is displayed in the Server Time Zone. Time Zone is not indicated in the output.
  3. The SDC Time is displayed in the SDC Server time. Time Zone is not indicated in the output.

Next Step:

  1. Confirm time zone is UTC (Z) when signing invoices from LinkPOS
  2. Verify results on the following devices available to the Link Dev team:
    1. Inspur
    2. VSDC
    3. Developer ESDC
  3. Provide update to Vineet to verify on SoftSDC (Not supported as Link Dev team has not been provided with a Dev Environment)

  1. Changed VMS signing to transform POS time to UTC in V13.30
  2. Created patch for 13.20 to accomplish this in the database.
