Please review the helpdesk procedure for creating Change Requests and New features. We need a business case in the case header. I will add my thoughts here and will add this to 14.30.

Business Case:

  1. Service station customer wants to use the additional notes to capture additional information at the end of each sale.
  2. There are 4 additional notes fields which are customisable and the user wants to use them to capture the following:
    1. Header Additional Field 1 - Weigh Slip Number
    2. Header Additional Field 2 - Driver Name
    3. Header Additional Field 3 - Driver Licence number
  3. When a sale is made, the customer wants the system to prompt for additional notes so these details can be added before the transaction is saved
  4. There are no validation requirements at this stage

Workaround:

  1. The user needs to Remember to select Notes before completing the sale.

Justification:

  1. If the user forgets to add notes, data will not be captured. Prompt will be useful to remind the user

Design:

  1. Add a STATION Level configuration so that we can turn this on and off depending on the station.
  2. The default value is "Do Not Prompt"

PART A - Development work for this case has been completed.

1. The change will be available in version: 14.20

2. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes, and any other relevant information):

  1. Added a new "Station Configuration" named "PromptNotesOnSave" Default = "N"
  2. On Save, if this setting is ON, the user will be prompted to enter Additional Notes

3. Affected Areas:

  1. POS Save Function

4. The issue was caused by:

  1. Change/Enhancement Requested by the user
