We connected on client site and did the following:
  1. Verified that all processes are running as per set frequency.
  2. Process Setup is running as well.
Client is able to generate Pay Edit Report, but blank report is generated with above message.

Hi Monica, the reason you are getting this error is because you have two employees with these Employee Codes:
  1. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX [EFFML70]
  2. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX [EFFML71
instead of EFFML70 and EFFML71.

You need to correct this as Employee Codes should be Maximum 20 characters.  I will add validation to prevent this.

You can use the "Change Employee Code" Utility in menu "Employee Profile ~> Employee Maintenance" to do this.

PART A - Development work for this case has been completed.

1. The change will be available in version: 16.04 AND 16.03.260811

2. The following changes were made (Include Database object names, Program classes, and any other relevant information):

  1. Added validation when creating an Employee so that the Employee Code cannot be > 20 characters and the code cannot contain special characters.,
  2. Added the same calidation to "Change Employee Code" utility.

3. Affected Areas:

  1. Menu: "Employee Profile ~> Employee Maintenance". Create New Employee and "Change Employee code" utility

4. The issue was caused by:

  1. Added validation to prevent invalid Employee Codes.
