Bred Bank File format ("BRED - Online Portal") has new limits placed on field sizes. We need to accommodate this in LinkSOFT so the file uploads successfully.

1. When is the updated version take effect
2. When will support for the outdated version discontinue
3. Is there an email confirmation from a bank representative that has asked us to make this change?  Can you paste the email in the case header, so we know it is official?

1. BIC - Required field. Provide BIC code of the receiving bank. BIC code is expected in capital, otherwise it fails. (LinkSOFT: Menu: "Company Administration ~> Bank". Detail: "Number Mapping". "Mapping Number" field.)
2. Employee Name - Required field. Provide employee name not exceeding 35 characters. (LinkSOFT: Trim Left to 35 Characters)
3. Employee Id - Required field. Provide employee Id of the receiver, not exceeding 25 digits. (LinkSOFT: EmployeeCode)
4. Account Number - Required field. Provide account number of the receiver, not exceeding 16 digits. (LinkSOFT: Menu: Employee Profile ~> Employee Pay Setup". Detail: Direct Debit. "Account No" field.)
5. Amount - Required field. Transfer amount to employee. Please follow the following numbering format, e.g., 1000.00
6. Remarks - Optional field. Remarks will appear in your account. The length of Remarks should not exceed 140 characters.
7. Narration - Optional field. This is for your own information. The length of Naration should not exceed 140 characters.

Sitla: Upload to BRED bank is failing. We have a field as "Beneficiary Name" / File requires "Employee Name". See figure 1 below:

I don't understand why this change was requested when it clearly is not implemented by the bank. This will cause instability in LinkSOFT. Can you action this asap and let me know whet is required?

I have done the testing with the new file format, and the following is to be noted

1. File Format from Prior LinkSOFT version 
   
   
   
   
2. File output from the current version 
   

I was able to successfully generate a file from Edge Demo - Pay No. 498 and upload it to the BRED Bank portal by renaming the following fields:

1. Beneficiary Name to Employee Name
2. Adding the word(optional) with Field Name "Notes" to "Notes (optional)"

This should be okay to upload the file.

In the Bred Bank portal, you can see the fields as below.
