Simplify LinkSOFT Licencing as follows:

  1. Merge the following licences into POS
    1. EFT
    2. VMS
  2. Merge the following licences into API. New Price is $1200
    1. REPL
    2. TNA
  3. Merge the following licences into HRM

  1. Definitions:
    1. SYS - System Licence, Require 1 licence for each Server/Database
    2. POS - Point of Sale - 1 licence required for each POS Terminal
    3. HRM - Human Resource management - Licenced by: Active Employee Count
    4. API - Integration Module - Licenced by Server/Database. Includes eCommerce 
    5. TNA - Time and Attendance - Deprecated (Merged with HRM)
    6. REC - Recruitment Management - Deprecated (Merged with HRM)
    7. VMS - Fiji SDC System - Deprecated (Merged with POS)
    8. REPL - Replication - Deprecated (Merged with POS) 
    9. EFT - Electronic Funds Transfer - Deprecated (Merged with POS)
    10. FMS - Financial Management - Asset System.  Deprecated (Merged with SYS) 
    11. HEL - Helpdesk - Deprecated (Merged with POS) 

2. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes, and any other relevant information):

  1. Merged REC, TNA with HRM Licence. 
  2. Merged VMS, REPL and EFT with POS
  3. Moved FMS and HEL to SYS
  4. Change price of API from $1000 to $1200
  5. The following licences are now Deprecated and merged into one of the 4 main licences: REC, TNA, VMS, REPL, EFT, FMS and HEL

4. The issue was caused by:

  1. Improvement

5. Other Relevant Notes

  1. Customers who have purchased REPL licences will be transferred to API
  2. You need 1 API licence per site similar to Replication
  3. You always need a "SYS" licence as all deprecated modules are tied to SYS
  4. We will accommodate any upgrades that require licence movements to ensure clients are not affected by this change.

The following tests were performed:

  1. DEMO Licence requested - Licence was issued to SYS, HRM, POS, FCI and API
  2. Removed all licences except SYS
    1. API and HRM licences became invalid, unable to run reports
    2. Can see Helpdesk and Integration Menus
  3. Added API licence
    1. HRM Licence shows as Invalid
    2. Reports are ok, however, HRM reports are not available
    3. Licence usage shows correctly (Corrected this view as it was not working in V12.4 +)
  4. Add HRM Licence
    1. HRM menus are now available and Access can be given
    2. Can see TNA, REC
    3. Cannot log in to POS
  5. Added POS Licence
    1. Can log in to POS
    2. Can Grant Acces to the user for POS Module

2. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes, and any other relevant information):

  1. The following rules apply:
    1. If no licences exist, a DEMO licence will be issued for the current Version. The current version is set at 12.
      1. Contact Link Support if you want to extend your DEMO Licence
      2. Please use naming convention in accordance with Licence Policy
    2. If a Licence exists for your installation, the licence server will issue the existing licence
      1. If you restore a licenced database, your request will be accepted as long as you have a valid licence
    3. If you get the message: "Cannot issue Licence. Reason: Used", this means that your SERVER, Database and Company name is used and cannot be applied to your environment. Contact Link Support
    4. When upgrading an existing licenced system, the old licence will be migrated to the new licence using the same expiry dates
    5. You can request a licence multiple times as long as you have a valid licence
    6. Tampering with the licence system is a breach of the EULA. Please do not tamper with the licence, Penalty applies. Refer to Licence Agreement
      1. Changing the Request ID will prevent you from accessing your licence

When issuing licences, we follow these steps:

  1. Check for an existing licence. If it exists, we send this out to the requester
  2. If 1 does not exist, we see if a previous licence existed that can be upgraded. If it can, we upgrade and issue this licence based on the expiry dates
  3. If 1 and 2 are not available, we issue a DEMO Licence
    1. Demo licences are available only for the current version. Old version DEMO Licences will not be issued.
