Thanks Yash Nayans Supermarket
Dear Sitla, I am reaching out to discuss an important matter concerning our POS system's receipt print quality. As you may be aware, we have been experiencing issues with the legibility of the text on our receipts. This has led to a perception that our printers are malfunctioning. However, upon conducting a series of tests, we have determined that the printers are in fine working order. The crux of the issue lies in the font style currently being used by our POS system. When we perform a standard Windows test print, which utilizes a different font, the output is crisp and clear. This clearly indicates that the problem is not with the printers themselves, but rather with the font style that is being applied to our fiscal receipts.
Samples of the receipts have been attached to this email. Please open and zoom in to see the difference. To address this, we have sought and obtained permission from the FRCS to change the font style to one that ensures better readability and presents a more professional appearance to our customers. This change is crucial for us as it will not only improve customer satisfaction but also help us avoid the unnecessary costs of replacing printers that are otherwise operational. We need you to implement this font change in our POS system. We advise you to use the same font " Windows Test Print " uses for the best quality which is font " Segoe UI " in semibold Your prompt action on this request will greatly assist us in maintaining the quality of our service and the integrity of our business operations. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. I am confident that with your support, we can resolve this issue swiftly. Warm regards, Yash Patel Nayans Corner PTE LTD
Greetings and Good Morning Mr.Yash
We do not have any objections as to the font style change. You can apply this font style change to your POS solution by asking your developer/vendor of reference to upgrade your solution in this way.
Just a kindly reminder that you must respect and show the elements that are mandatory on a fiscal invoice issued by an accredited POS solution:

Hello,
I hope this message finds you well. As a representative of Nayans Corner PTE LTD, I am writing to address an ongoing issue we've encountered regarding fiscal receipts guidlines.
Over the years, we have noticed a recurring problem with the legibility of our receipts, particularly in terms of the printing quality. Despite regular maintenance and replacement of printers, we continue to face challenges with the readability of the fiscal
receipts due to the font style dictated by the FRCS regulations.
Our current point-of-sale (POS) system provider Link Technologies has informed us that they are unable to make alterations to the receipt format as it is dictated by the FRCS guidelines. Consequently, we find ourselves in a predicament where the wear and tear
on our printers, although manageable for other printing tasks, results in faded or light printing specifically on fiscal receipts.
To illustrate the issue, we have conducted tests comparing the print quality of our current printers with both a sample of the new printer and old with the Windows test print. These tests clearly demonstrate that the printers are still capable of producing
clear and legible prints, as evidenced by the Windows test print. However, the font style and size prescribed by the FRCS guidelines are such that they exacerbate the problem, particularly with aging printers.
After careful consideration and consultation with our technical team, we have identified a potential solution to address this issue effectively. We propose to change the font style used on our fiscal receipts to a slightly thicker and more robust typeface.
This adjustment would enhance the legibility of the receipts without compromising compliance with FRCS regulations.
Therefore, we kindly request your permission to proceed with this font style modification. As this is a very costly item to maintain yearly with the increasing prices and declining sales, we need to eliminate losses in order to survive as a business.
We assure you that the proposed font style change will be implemented with utmost care and attention to detail, and we remain fully committed to complying with all relevant regulations and standards.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to receiving your approval and working together to resolve this issue promptly.

Sincerely,
Yash Patel
