Subject: LinkSOFT Backup Database Management - Improvements
Summary:    

Improve backup configuration and error logging.  We need to address the following issues:

  1. Backup is not being logged properly. When backup maintenance fails, the error logs do not explain the reasons for failure.
  2. Backup configuration needs to be improved so we can determine which databases are being backed

Development work for this case has been completed.

The change will be available in version: 11.4.1203 3 PM

1. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes and any other relevant information):

  1. Added new configuration for automated backups. See figure 1.
  2. Added error logging on backup failure. 
  3. If the delete user does not have access, this is correctly reflected in the error logs
  4. If the delete backup file no longer exists, this is correctly reflected in the error logs
  5. Added ability to determine "Other" databases to backup
  6. Transferred backup mechanism to standard Framework
