Status: Closed
Subject: Separate "Void" and "Post" of stock take from menu 523-5.
Summary:

Current Design

  1. The current design has the"VOID" and "Post Adjustment"  buttons for stocktake on the same screen. Menu 523-5 Close Stock Take.
  2. When a user selects a stocktake and clicks on "VOID" or " Post Adjustment". The system does not prompt a message to confirm the action.
  3. The above has been verified in version 949 GA.

Customer Case.

  • On-site, one of the clients selected a stocktake from 2017 and accidentally clicked on "Post Adjustment". This set the stock level to 0 for year 2018.
  • It was difficult to correct the stock from the application having over 100 items were affected. We had to also ensure that other operations were on hold while we corrected the data.

Improvement

Separate the "Void" and "Post Adjustment" option. This is to ensure that the system does not have loopholes that drop the quality of the application and to save hours from data corrections.

      Hi Rashna,

The tickboxes are used for close button only.

To void, you need to select a row and click on the delete icon.

      regards
      Alvis

      Hi Team,

As per the net meeting with Sanjay, "Void" functionality has been standardised. A valid use case has not been justified for void of multiple stocktakes.

This case has been passed as per item number 3 in comment 5.

Documentation has been updated under Backoffice -- Inventory -- Stocktake -- Close Stocktake.

Next Step - Case assigned to Sanjay for closure.

      Thanks
      Rashna
