Summary:    
1. Explain the issue

The first item on the "Product Search" list is automatically loaded when the "Search an item" authentication is completed using a user barcode login card.


2. Steps to reproduce
  1. The cashier does not have access to search for an item in POS.
  2. The administrator has full access.
  3. Create the Login Card for the administrator with  "Security ID" format.
  4. Login into POS with the cashier.
  5. Click on "Search for an item". This will open the authentication screen.
  6. Scan the administrator card.
  7. When the scan is completed, the first item on the list is automatically loaded in POS.

Notes:

  1. Issue was reported from a client. 
  2. Tested the case with Magellan 3450VSi scanner. This is the one used on site.

Development work for this case has been completed.
The change will be available in version: 10 Beta7

1. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes and any other relevant information):|

  1. Changed POS item search to select the item when [F2] is pressed instead of [ENTER]

2. The issue was caused by:

  1. Default [ENTER] key caused the 1st item on the grid to load.

      As per the Skype conversation, Support Team requesting for a patch for 949. 

      Update on case

      I had updated all staff on Friday (05/10) of case 9610 - The first item on the "Product Search" list is automatically loaded when the "Search an item" authentication is completed using a user barcode login card.
      Case is currently in UAT.

      My question remains unanswered. Am I getting a release for 949? The case does not have those details. That update is useless for me that its tested in Beta 10

      Its an issue on client site and I am spending my personal time upgrading.I cannot be upgrading them to newer version for simple fixes

      I need an update in 949. Please arrange that

      Issue resolved. A new case has been created for project 9.X
