Subject: Duplicate "leave" entries in Report "Timesheet Import Log Report"
Summary:    

Bula Vinaka Team,

One of our clients has raised an issue where Duplicate "leave" entries in Report "Timesheet Import Log Report" for one employee for one date.

We have tested this in v10.41 in the demo database and it appears to be an issue.

Steps to Replicate:

  1. There are no rules enabled for TNA
  2. Using device 4, upload time where the employee has two entries for a day (file attached to the case)
  3. For the 13th of March, 2019, the employee signed in at an IN at 8 am and Out at 11 - Refer to Figure 1
  4. The employee applied for Leave from 10 am to 11 am - Refer to Figure 2
  5. And thus the employee signed IN at 11 am and OUT at 5pm - Refer to Figure 1

When the Timesheet Import Log Report is generated, the system displays this leave twice. Refer below:

 

The database is restored in QA4 as  "LINKSOFT-CASE10258".Kindly look into this case and requesting for a patch for v10.41.

Hi Alvis, 

I verified the scenario in the case header in version 11.0.0314, duplicate leave entries are printed.

Note: If an employee applies a leave for a day a single record is correctly printed.

Development work for this case has been completed.

The change will be available in version: 10.143 & 11.0.0318

1. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes and any other relevant information):|

  1. Corrected Timesheet Import log report to show leave entry once when there are multiple time entries for a day.

2. The issue was caused by:

  1. When there were multiple time entries for a day, the leave entry was displayed for each multiple records.

    Thank you for the update.

    Please be advised, this issue is being faced in Coca Cola Fiji Limited and they have already upgraded twice this year (2019), thus, it may not be best to request for an upgrade.

    Requesting if you can provide me with a patch for this solution. The current version of the client is v10.1.39.

    Looking forward to your usual assistance.

    Hi Aarti, the client is not in the Pilot upgrade site list so we have not considered this when releasing updated. Sanjeet and Vineet decided to upgrade this without consulting us so it is difficult for us to manage at this point.

    I will be having this discussion with them when I come to Suva on the 23rd, for now, the update will remain as an installation file.

    Apologies for the inconvenience.  I will close this case for now.
