Subject: Changes to barcode scan to load an item
Summary:    

The following changes are required to allow for duplicate UPC code:

  1. Allow the system to enter duplicate UPC code. UPC code can be the same as part no.
    1. Change back-office inventory screen to allow duplicate UPC code
  2. Change POS Barcode scan to load item based on the following rules:
    1. Barcode scan will select the items in the following order:
      1. Product Code - unique for all items
      2. Barcode - unique for all items
      3. UPC - no validation
      4. SKU - no validation
    2. When an item is found, the search will stop
    3. The product code and UPC code can be the same. No validation on UPC code
    4. Select should exclude obsolete items if more than 1 item is found
    5. If more than 1 item remains, raise an error saying "There are more than one items with code [Barcode]. Please load this item by searching for the item."

1. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes and any other relevant information):|
