| Summary: | Hi Team, We removed the ability to save a part number with special characters and spaces on 519. However, we have clients who have spare parts and hardware shops. They create products with "dashes", "backward slash" and "forward slash". This is done to easily identify the products. For Example - Nails/2inch
- Nails/4inch
- Nails/6inch
Hence, we need to remove "-", "/", "\" and "." from validation. Note: We can not change part numbers in a replication environment. We will need to devise a method to handle the existing part numbers with special characters and spaces during the upgrade to 819. Version 819 validates part numbers with special characters and spaces. Test Plan - Create a product as Nail/2inch - This should be successfully saved.
- Create a product as Nail\2inch - This should be successfully saved.
- Create a product as Nail-2inch - This should be successfully saved.
- Create a product as Nail.2inch - This should be successfully saved.
- Create a product as Nail"2inch - This should not be saved.
- Create a product as Nail&2inch - This should not be saved.
- Create a product as Nail*2inch - This should not be saved.

| Hi Rashna, As per comment 5, the LinkSOFT code validation checks for a blank or single quote. All other characters are allowed. I have changed the message to "Code cannot be blank or contain single quote" regards
