There are some groups of employees at Goodman Fielder who  work for 5 days only. There are some groups who work for 6 days in a week. Now below is the customization rule that needs to take place for these employees:

Applicable for employees working 5 days only:

  1. Any 5th day worker works consecutive 6th and 7th days. All time for the 6th and 7th day of this employee will be double. Day 1 being Monday and Day 7 being Sunday.
  2. Any 5th day empoyee working from Tuesday and works until Sunday, deserves the consecutive 6th day rule for Sunday.
  3. If employee has approved leaves, this is to be counted as one of the consecutive days eg: An employee works on Monday and Tuesday and is on leave on a Wednesday, then works again on Thursday and Friday. If this employee works on a Saturday, he will be paid double time for all hours worked on Saturday.

Applicable for employees working 6 days only:

  1. Any 6th day worker who works consecutive 7 days, will be paid double time for this day . Day 1 being Monday and Day 7 being Sunday.
  2. If employee has approved leaves, this is to be counted as one of the consecutive days eg: An employee works on Monday and Tuesday and is on leave on a Wednesday, then works again from Thurday to Saturday. If this employee works on a Saturday, he will be paid double time for all hours worked on Saturday.

DISCUSSION Between Alvis and Vineet

  1. Consecutive Day: This includes any time at Timesheet or ESS time as well as any leave application except LWOP. This should not include leaves that has been sold.
  2. Consecutive 6 Day:
    •  is decided based on the employees shifts Time control eg: if the shift's  day 1 is a Monday, then the 6th day is Saturday.
    • This rule is not applied for employees on a 6 day roster.
  3. Consecutive 7 Day:
  •  is decided based on the employees shifts Time control eg: if the shift's  day 1 is a Monday, then the 7th day is Sunday.
  • If consuctive 7th day rule is not met on a Sunday, check for consutive 6th day rule and apply this on Sunday. 
  • This rule is not applied for employees on a 6 day roster.
Employee working 6 days will be determined from the Roster i.e these employee will have roster from Monday to Saturday and the segment 1 for these shift has defined hours in its time control. Segment 1 hours is used to determine that this day is a normal working day.

Hi Alvis

I have tested this using the test plan provided. I have done one additional testing by inserting Public Holiday and reviewed all time. All scenarios are working fine as expected.
