Subject: Years of Service for terminated employees is being calculated on the system calendar rather that the employee’s termination date
Summary:

Bula Vinaka Team,

The Years of Service for terminated employees is being calculated on the system calendar rather that the employee’s termination date.

Steps to Replicate:

  1. In the demo database:
    1. On menu 421
    2. Mark employee E003 as inactive
    3. Termination date: 07/09/2018
  2. Since the machine date is 17/09/2018, the years of service is 13.99 Yrs
  3. Change the machine date to 17/09/2020:
    1. the years of service changes to 15.99 Yrs

This is incorrect because the employee was employed till 17/09/2018 only and this should not be affected despite the system calendar changing.

Environment Details:

  1. Tested on version 949.004
  2. Database: Demo

Please diagnose.

Regards
Aarti Gayaneshwar

    System test completed.

    Verified the following:

    1. Years of Service for Inactive/Terminated employee is based on Start Date to Termination Date. If Termination date is not specified, the Years of service is 0.
    2. Years of service for active/leave employees is based on Start Date and the current date.
