Subject: Enhancement to Bank File emailing functionality.
Summary:
In case 9412  we changed the design to email bank files to the configured email addresses. This was done in version 949 GA.

However, not all payroll clients have internet on their machines. For example OGTL has a machine which is the server and client for payroll. Internet access is denied for the users. Other few clients include Cope Construction and Brighton.

Currently, users store the bank file in a USB and email it to the bank from a different machine.

Hence, we need to review the design to accommodate for users with no internet access.

Suggestion

  • Attach the bank file in the email log so users can download it on a machine.
  • We need to ensure that bank file is not accessible to users who do not have access to Payroll BanK files.
