Subject: Unable to successfully complete Compare Data for Inventory and Purchasing Transactions
Summary:    
1. Description: 
     The below error message is shown in the event log when comparing Inventory and Purchasing Transactions between HQ and Branch. This has been replication on the below setup:

HQ Server: LINKQA1
HQ Database: LINKSOFTHQ
HQPOSWeb: 10.0.0.11\POS-HQ

Branch Server: LinkQA4
Branch Database: LINKSOFTBRANCH2
BranchPOSWeb: 10.0.0.14\POS-Branch

Error Message: Remote table-valued function calls are not allowed.. This job will process again in 10 minutes.

3. Steps to recreate
a. Log into QA4 Branch POSWeb
b. Create a batch with Table Type as Transaction and Compare Group Name as Inventory. At this stage you will notice comparison is stopped with status as In progress(1/6) - LBS_XFER_DET.
c.  Create a batch with Table Type as Transaction and Compare Group Name as Purchasing. At this stage you will notice comparison is stopped with status as In progress(3/5) - LBS_PO_DET (DB -LINKSOFTBRANCH1, Server - QA1).

d. Verify Event Log and error message will be shown as 

Remote table-valued function calls are not allowed.

We have completed the test on this using QA1 and QA4. This test plan was using to test the Utility end to end. The below was noticed.

  1. If data is mismatched on LBS_LOT_BIN_SER_XFER_TMP and LBS_LOT_BIN_TRAN tables, it is not compared and displayed after result has been successfully compared. This we have regarded as not high priority for 2 reasons:
    1. Currently we will be using this for OTGL and they do not have any LotBin Serial Products. They had used it once for Shopping Vouchers but no longer using it and no complains as been logged for that.
    2. Once Transaction has been successfully completed, there is not screens to review those as well at Transfers Level and Purchase Order Level. We do have it in Adjustments Reports and Transfer Delivery Note Report  but none for Purchase Order Received.
  2. Other areas tested has been passed .
