Subject: Time Entry Log Report Improvements
Summary:

Hi Sanjay,

Our customers want a time entry report that can show details as follows:

Employee Name, Shift, Branch, Cost Centre, Date, Day, Time In, Time Out, Normal Hours, Leave Hours, Total Hours.

The report should have a filter for Show Details (Y/N), whereby if N is chosen then the user will see a summary of Normal Hours, Leaves, and Total Hours with their specified parameters.

Report format can be found in Google Drive. Direct link - Time Entry Log Report.

Currently the Time Entry Log Report from ESS is close to their requirements, however lack just a few details.

Please provide me with costing with their request.

Kind Regards

Bula Vinaka Alvis

Below are the requirements that has not been facilitated as per their initial requirement:

  • The initial requirement was that leaves to be populated in the Leave column as well as the Normal Column so that they compare the Total for Normal against the total for Expected and all staff having a negative variance, a leave transaction would have been created by HR to cater for this variance.
  • The Total should only take into account Normal Hours and Leave Hours not time and half and double. The significance for this is because they want to identify which employees have not worked the expected hours and penalize them for this. They would also be reducing their leave liability in this way by created leave transactions since they have a huge amount of leave liability for most staff.
