Subject: User does not have access to "Employee Hours Analysis" but still can view it if the user is in "ESS-TNA APPROVALS" role.
Summary:

Bula Vinaka Alvis

In the UAT environment for GFI, we have noticed that employees do not have access to the "Employee Hours Analysis" but still can view it via Reports.

This issue only happens when a user is in "ESS-TNA APPROVALS" role.

We have tested this in version 10.151.

Refer steps to replicate:

  1. On role "ESS-TNA APPROVALS" role.
  2. Disabled  "Employee Hours Analysis"  report

  3. Assign this role to one employee. This employee should not have access to any other role

  4. When employee "E0069" will log in (password = 12) he will be able to view the report.

We have uploaded the database on FTP as "GFI_LINKSOFT_11372.zip".

Please review and advise.

Regards
Aarti

Hi Aarti,

In version 10 there are 2 reports for "Employee Hours Analysis"

  1. 1st report has "View Data In Grid" option - Security for this report is maintained in Web
  2. 2nd report has "View PDF, View Crystal, and Email" option - Security for this report is maintained in BackOffice menu 342-7.

regards
Alvis
