Subject: Rate is picked as "1" where pay-codes which are set as to use Staff Rate
Summary:

Dear Team,

There is an issue in the client (MCL) database, where Rate is being picked as "1" for pay-codes which are set as to use Staff Rate.

Steps to replicate:

  1. Go to company WDC
  2. Go to menu 311-1
  3. Verified Paycode: BACTAL: refer below:
    • This is set as “Use Staff Rate” = “Yes”
    • Rate by 1

  4. Navigate to menu 332-3
  5. Add this pay code “BACTAL” to employee 133
  6. The rate is picked as “1” rather than the staff rate, refer below:

This has been tested in the demo database for version 10.3.7 and no such issue has been encountered.

The client is on version 10.3.7, the database has been uploaded by fillezilla as “MCL_LINKSOFT_9857” in the public folder.

Environment Details:

  1. DB name: CLIENT-LINKSOFT-MOTIBHAI
  2. Version: 10.1.3.7
  3. URL: http://10.0.0.14/LinkWEB/Account/login.aspx
  4. Backoffice Login: UserName: Admin, PSWD: Link.123
  5. ESS Login: UserName: Admin, PSWD: Link.123

Please take a look and advise, this has become an issue with their payroll processing.

Requesting a patch for this issue.

Regards
Aarti Gayaneshwar

Hi Aarti, We have added this to 10.2 as there are PowerBuilder updates for this issue. We expect to release 10.2 before mid-2019.

The workaround is to choose the rate from the drop-down.

Dear Team,

Refer to Sanjeet's comments below:

"We need an urgent fix for it. It was never designed to work the way it’s working now. Employees are being short paid because of this bug. You can’t expect payroll clerk to run eyes on every change they do. Especially in a volume processing environment like Motibhai"

Regards
Aarti
