Summary:    
Continuous improvements and product development is an essential part of any software company. This is why at Link Technologies, we allocate 40 % of our revenue back into product improvements , research and development.

In 2014, our aim is to improve product architecture and establish a common framework across all our products. 2013 was a great year for us as we completed our primary goal of achieving a common framework for all our 4 product lines. This year will bring our products together and establish a common user interface with rich client side functionality that business applications demand.

Below is a list showing 2013 achievements:
    1. Redesigned configurable User Interface for POS, Employee Self Serve, Helpdesk and ERP Portal
    2. Configurable Role Based security on all pages with additional security options for processing
    3. Domain layer of the architecture has been changed to ensure consistency across all our product lines
    4. Added attachment ability to framework allowing multiple attachments to forms
    5. Configurable multi-layer menu structure
    6. Implemented a common user management framework
    7. Implemented a common application theme for all components within the application
Below is a product road map for 2014:
    1. Focus on Point of Sales Functionality including Bank Device Interfaces and mobile device support for taking orders for Point of Sales
    2. Transfer of Point of Sales Administration Features into Web Platform
    3. Improvements to JIWA Point of Sales Integration
    4. Transfer Link Human Resource Management functionality from Client Server architecture (Powerbuilder) into Employee Self Serve Web Platform
    5. Transfer Link Payroll functionality from Client Server architecture (Powerbuilder) into Employee Self Serve Web Platform
    6. Combining Asset Management with FMS Portal so that we have a one stop shop for all Jiwa Web Components
The aim is to release Version 8 of LinkSOFT applications by the end of 2014 which will see the consolidation of framework improvements and customisable user interfaces and significant feature enhancements for all our products.
