Subject: Review the "Service" terminologies for employment start and end.
Summary:

The following was discussed with Coke during site visit.

There are many reasons employees end employment with Coke. For example,

  1. The contract may have come to end and it was not renewed. In this scenario the employment status is set to "Inactive".
  2. The employee willingly resigned. In this scenario the employment status is set to "Inactive".
  3. Coke terminated the contract of the employee after management discussions. In this scenario the employment status is set to "Terminated"

Concern

  1. When the status is set to "Inactive" or "Termination".
  2. Users are required to enter a "Reason". This field is labeled as "Termination Reason".
    1. We need to rename this to something global for example "Exit Reason". Currently the reports generated implicate that the employee was terminated by the organisation.
  3. "Termination Date" should be also renamed to a global description like "Exit Date".

The above is needed because new HR officers fail to update the status of "Inactive" employee  stating that they were not "Terminated" thus they can not enter a termination date or reason.
