Subject: Improvement to Customer Display - Continuation of Case 8867
Summary:    

Due to time constraints case, 8867 specifications were not completely designed. Below is the list of pending tasks.

  1. When loading items, the total is highlighted at the at the bottom of the screen. Customer has focus on the total. Once cashier clicks on save, the processing status is updated on the top. Customers fail to see this. They are looking at the bottom for the change amounts. Cashiers have to indicate that its now displayed at the top of the screen. This needs to be made consistent. See Figure 1 below.
  2. Change amount should be displayed on a pop up as just we have in POS. This is will allow customers to easily see the change.
  3. Highlight the line that the cashier has just scanned. This will maintain focus on the items scanned as the customer would want to see what all has been scanned.
  4. Consider increasing font size to 18.
