Subject: Editing existing employee profiles - the saved information goes missing
Summary:    

Bula Vinaka Team,

When editing existing employee profiles, the system is not functioning as required. The entered and saved information goes missing.

Refer steps below to replicate:

  1. Select employee E029
  2. Enter Middle Name: Parker
  3. Enter Address: Lot 67, Wall Street
  4. Enter Phone: 9876457


  5. Click on “Save”
  6. The system prompts to enter “Ethnic”


  7. After entering this, click “Save” again
  8. The system prompts to enter “Grade”


  9. After entering this, click “Save” again
  10. The system prompts again to enter “Grade”
  11. After entering this and saving, all the information entered from steps 1-4 disappears

This has been tested in the demo database for V1.0.3.7.

Requesting a patch for this V1.0.3.7.

Agreed to make the following changes

  1. Remove the required field for "Ethnic" and "Grade".

Development work for this case has been completed.

The change will be available in version: 10.2

1. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes and any other relevant information):|

  1. Removed required fields from Ethnic and Grade
  2. When Grade and Position details are entered, all screen refreshes and data entered in other fields were lost. The refresh event is removed from Grade and Position tabs.

2. The issue was caused by:

  1. Data refresh in 1.2 above caused values entered by the user to be lost.

3. Next Step:

  1. UAT
