Subject: | Improvements to Customer Display screen |
Summary: | Hi Team, The following has been identified on the display in version 818. - The format for decimals is not structured. For example item A cost 0.55, when loading the item, the customer display total shows a total of .55. "0" is not showing before the decimal point. This is also the case for "Discount" and "Tax" on the screen. See Figure 1 below.
- Company and Cashier name is displayed on the very top. This should be situated on the display where customers can easily see the details.In addition, the font is very small. See Figure 1 below.
- When loading items, the total is highlighted at the at the bottom of the screen. Customer has focus on the total. Once cashier clicks on save, the processing status is updated on the top. Customers fail to see this. They are looking at the bottom for the change amounts. Cashiers have to indicate that its now displayed at the top of the screen. This needs to be made consistent. See Figure 1 below.
- Change amount should be displayed on a pop up as just we have in POS. This is will allow customers to easily see the change.
- Highlight the line that the cashier has just scanned. This will maintain focus on the items scanned as the customer would want to see what all has been scanned.
- Hide the advertisement panel when serving customers. Consider increasing font size to 18.

| Development meeting JAN 2018 Approved the following changes:
- Change the format of all numbering from #.00 to 0.00
- Add configuration for Font size, advertisement width when serving customers
- Move the messages from the top section to the bottom section and increase height and font
- Add a top section that shows the Company Name and Served By
- Highlight the last item added
- Hide the advertisement panel when serving customers. Consider increasing font size to 18.

| Hi Rashna, given the time constraints, we cannot do all these changes in this version. I have cut this down so we can proceed with 94.
Development work for this case has been completed. The change will be available in version: 94Beta5 1. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes and any other relevant information):| - Added "User Line 1 and Line 2" Bar at the top of the display form
- When sales are in progress, we show the sales data as a full screen instead of 70% width
