Summary:    

The following changes are required in ESS Time:

  1. "Time Entry maximum hours per day" configuration does not work when existing time entry hours = configuration value 
  2. Refactor procedures so that a single entry point is used to create time entry

Development work for this case has been completed.
The change will be available in version: 9.4 Beta 3

1. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes and any other relevant information):|

  1. Changed procedure LT_ESS_InsertTimesheetByID and corrected issue with date format when calculating total duration.
  2. Verified Time entry by - Day, Time entry by week, procedures that a single entry point is used.

2. The issue was caused by:

  1. Incorrect date format was used in date comparison.

    System test completed.

    Verified the following:

    1. Created entry from Timesheet import for 8th May - 8hours and marked it as submitted. A time entry for 8th May was created
    2. From "Time entry by day" screen, tried to create an entry for 8th May. The system gave a message "Your total duration for this day has exceeded 8.00 hours"
