Summary: | 1. Problem Details Client XXXXX Supermarket has reported that POS freezes for few seconds every now and then. They don't have to do any thing to resolve this, the freeze is released automatically.
2. Error Message (Include screenshot of error) Attached Log file from one POS Machine "Error processing ESDC Tax Integration." "Error processing Tax Integration." "Timeout Error"

4. Relevant History Information
I have reviewed lt_sys_log - there are various errors relating to VMS operations and normal POS operation which are not expected. We have not been able to replicate this on our environment.

| Hi Sanjeet, Investigation show there are two specific issues causing this: - Delay in SDC process is causing the transaction save process to lock records for a long time
- SDC server response issue.
Issue 1 - We are looking into what can be done to work around the SDC processing. Issue 2 - See attachment showing that the SDC call and status is correct on the POS side. Please log this issue with the SDC provider. Refer to Attachment name: SDCServerResponseIssue.txt Regards Sanjay |

| To resolve issue 1, we have moved the "Get Next Invoice Number" and "Validate Invoice number" out of the POS Transaction save routine. This means that if a Transaction Save fails, the Next Receipt number will be lost. We have tested this in 9.4 and will be preparing for UAT shortly. Regards Sanjay |

Both request examples are correct. Please note that TaxCore Support can support you with virtual SDC environment. For production ESDC please refer to your ESDC vendor. From our experience, this can be related to: - uninitialized E-SDC (tax rates and other information is not downloaded from Internet or thumb drive)
- network connectivity between POS and E-SDC, usually caused by firewall or anti-virus software
- wrong smart card (staging vs. production)

The following were done to verify: - Manually introduced 10-second delay in processing sales
- Connected 3 POS terminals and completed sale at the same time
- All 3 machines completed sale successfully.

- Sales were made from LINK008, LINK009 and Sanjeet's Machine
- Testing was conducted with Virtual ESDC.
