Subject: Application Times Out when trying to allocate payment from Customer Profile
Summary:    

Issue

We have upgraded OTG to version 12.42.0526. When the user does the below steps to allocate payment, the link web application times out. Steps to reproduce:

  1. Log into LinkWeb
  2. Navigate to Customer Profile>>Payments Tab
  3. Expand a payment. The system will time out after few seconds.

Hi Vineet, we have downloaded the HQ and Sigatoka databases and restored this into QA4 to verify the issue.

Important Note:
We noticed that the HQ database had over 100 temporary tables created by a user. These tables indicate that someone is doing "table updates" on the production environment.  This poses a high risk to database integrity and can result in severe malfunctions.  Also, not these tables are taking a lot of space causing unnecessarily large backup sizes. Please discuss this with OTG and remove all temporary backup tables.  Also, we strongly object to doing direct database updates on the production environment.

PART A - Development work for this case has been completed.

Bula Guys

I have tested this on the OTG database. The issue has been resolved. I was able to add payment lines and allocate payments as well for a few customers on this OTG HQ Database at QA4. The web is no longer timing out in version 12.42.0624
