The customer search filter in the Reports takes over 2 minutes to load.

Steps to Replicate:

  1. Uploaded 70k Customers
  2. On the following reports, when clicked on the customer search filter, the screen loads for more than 2 minutes to display data
  3. Report Names are:
    • Customer Statement
    • Customer Balance Listing
    • Customer Fleet Charges
    • Customer Fleet Statement
    • Customer Loyalty Transaction
    • Customer Listing Report
    • Customer Fleet Transaction Listing

Hi guys, yes this will be an issue given that you have over 70,000 customers in these lookups. 

To resolve the issue, we have made the following changes:

  1. Add a parameter to limit the number of rows to return where there is search capability. This includes all lookup's in Business Intelligence
  2. The Data search functionality can be used to reload data from the database 
  3. In Report Search, we auto filter based on already typed values

Since this affects all our reports, we will need a couple of days to change and test these scripts.

Most of the changes have been done, Rashna will be completing System tests on Monday next week and er expect to have a script ready by Tuesday next week

  1. Added a global configuration to limit the number of rows in lookups where there is search capability
  2. Changed all lookups to limit based on 1 above. This includes all report lookups
