| Subject: | System to validate missing item description when products are loaded in POS for VMS processing |
| Summary: | Bula Vinaka Alvis, We have encountered this on a few of our VMS sites that users sometimes load items on the POS screen which has missing descriptions. Now the problem is that when VMS is enabled, these transactions are Failed to process with the message “SDC Processing Failed". To resolve this, we have to manually update the POS tables and thus the processing is cleared off the screen. We request the following: - When an item is loaded onto POS with a missing description, the system should validate and pop up a message on screen to notify the user that Product X has a missing description.
This will resolve the SDC processing failed scenarios we are encountering. Please review and advise. Regards

| Development work for this case has been completed. The change will be available in version:10.152 1. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes and any other relevant information): - Changed the VMS processing to use product code when the description of an item is blank.
2. Affected Areas: - Sell a MISC item in POS and set the description to blank. Process transaction through VMS.
3. The issue was caused by: - Blank description fails VMS processing
