Subject: Link Software Folder Permission - Application Configuration File
Summary:    Link Technologies software stores configuration information on Microsoft SQL server database (LBS_Config) and on the local machine application configuration file. Given the complexity of the replication features, together with the need to maintain configuration information during network failure, we are forced to maintain a secured local configuration file.

After Link software is installed, depending on the version of windows you are using, you may need to assign write access to the program files folder. If the application cannot gain write access to the application folder, you will get a message indicating this information before the application exits.

It is essential that all consultants and system implementers ensure the program files folder has write access before handing over the application to production.
