Subject: Make "App User" read-only in Connectivity Setting in POS and Reporter.
Summary:

We need an improvement to remove "App User" and "App Password" from Connectivity Setting in POS. This to be only shown in POS config file and not the screen.

Justification.

Since the setting is accessible by the users, they change the "App User" and "App Password" which causes issues in the system. We experienced a situation where the username and password was changed from Linkadmin to SA in a replication setup. This caused huge amount of data mismatach. Although this was a consulting exercise, it is a tedious task.

Client Cases

  1. XXXXX -The user changed the "App User and Password" to use "SA" and "LinkFiji123" on a machine. This caused the data not replicate from that machine. Data was populating at the branch server but not replicating to HQ.
  2. Lunaeva - A user on a machine, changed the  "App User and Password". Users were not able to log in and the client did not have internet access for us to clearly identify what the cause was.

Steps to Replicate

  1. Open POS.
  2. Crtl Z on the login Page.

Changed POS and Reporter "Server Configuration" so that Username cannot be changed from LinkADMIN.

Proceed with System test. You will need updates for POS and REPORTER.
