Subject: Leave Code "LWOP" in Pay Edit Report is to be subtracted from "Normal Hours" column and appear as negative in "Other" column
Summary:

I have tested this case in QA2 with LINKSOFT demo database, Version 8140.00.

The issue noted by our client was that an employee had worked for 22 hours only, and in Pay Edit Report 70 hours was appearing in the "Total Hours" column. Please refer to support case 6709.

Steps to replicate:

  • Create a new employee - E069
  • Set Timesheet as No
  • Set pay scheme as "Cash"
  • Create Standard pay for employee E069
  • Allocate Leave code - LWOP in Menu 328-2
  • Create leave transaction LWOP for 3 days as taken in Menu 328-3 for E069
  • Create Pay in 332-1

The Pay Edit Report adds the Normal hours with the Hours taken as Leave Without Pay. Refer to the image below.

Figure 1: Pay Edit Report

Justification
For Leave Without Pay (LWOP) the value should be subtracted from Normal hours and not added to it and should appear as negative in "Other" column as it appears in Pay Edit Report YTD. Please refer to image below:
