Subject: Rate changes to first Pay Rate when employee profile is edited
Summary:    

When the employee profile is edited the Pay Rate changes to the very first rate entered into the system.  See figure 1.1 below for details. The employees' effective rate was 190,000. When the profile was edited and saved, the rate changed to $180,000.

Section C. The issue can be reproduced by performing the following steps: 
  1. From Employee Maintenance add a note to the employee profile.
  2. Save this note
  3. Expand employee maintenance and notice the effective rate would have changed.

1. The change will be available in version: 14.10.0928 and Patch for 14.00.0928

2. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes, and any other relevant information):

  1. When updating the Employee Profile, we do not change the Employee Default Rate

3. Affected Areas:

  1. Employee Profile Update

4. The issue was caused by:

  1. Default Rate moved out of Employee Profile. Since no value was passed to the update system, the rate was resetting the Default Rate.
