Subject: Request for New Label Report to accommodate Jewelry Barcode -81 mm x 12 mm - Rupam Trendz
Summary:
Section A - Briefly explain what the change is about

Rupam Trendz specializes in selling Jewelry and clothing and requires a barcode label format which can facilitate his product scanning.

Section B - Explain in detail what this change is about

The jewellery tag size is 81 mm x 12 mm (with a 25 mm non-printable area from the right-long thin one). The current report generated from the POS system shows the price, the product description and the barcode vertically one line below each. Refer to Figure 1.

However, due to the nature of the jewellery tags, this makes the barcode not big enough to be read by the scanner. Hence requesting, if you can make the barcode in one part and the product description, price and weight in one part. Refer to Figure 2.
  1. 25 mm non-printable area from the right-long thin one

56mm x 12mm - Center Perforated

  1. 28mm  from left to print Barcode and Barcode Number - Center Aligned
  2. 28 mm in the middle to print Product Description & Weight second Row Price. Center Aligned

Figure 1: Current print from the system - Due to label size. Cannot be used.

New Report to facilitate the below label design.

Figure 2: Expected label printout.

Section C - Provide a Test plan for this change

Should be able to Scan Barcode Label

That's the one I will allocate this afternoon. I can then allocate a time later this week to have it tested with Vineshwar, possibly Thursday 10 am

Sitla, 1:50 PM
ok

1:50 PM
Also, I had a quick look at the case, you don't have a test plan in place, and I won't be able to allocate to a project until there's a test plan

The test plan should have a sample output based on the demo environment Products.

Also, In "Figure 2", the expected output has the words "Sample Text". Where does this come from?
