Subject: Review and merge "Position Criteria Code" and "Skill" maintenance
Summary:

Review and merge "Position Criteria Code" and "Skill" maintenance.

  1. There are 2 menus in HR that has the same definition. When "Position Criteria Code" is  ADDED/EDITED there is a trigger that synchronizes the record to "Skill" maintenance and vice versa based on the code.
  2. "Position Criteria Code" is used for "Position Assessment" and "Interview Assessment"
  3. "Skill" is used for Employee and Applicant skills.
  4. Succession planning matches the "Position Assessment" with "Employee Skills" for its computations.

Since there is a duplication of codes, that can be merged

Design:

  1. Upgrade script to merge a "Position Criteria Code" to "Skill"
  2. Replace object dependency for "Position Criteria Code" to use "Skill"
  3. Remove "Position Criteria Code" menu and objects
  4. When an interview assessment is created, load the applicant skills that match the assessment.
  5. When an interview assessment is submitted, update the applicant skills from the assessment.

Areas Affected:

  1. Position Maintenance ~> Assessment Criteria TAB
  2. Interview Assessment ~> Applicant skills are loaded when the assessment is created
  3. Applicant skills are updated when "Interview Assessment" is submitted
  4. Succession planning report
