Subject: Quality testing on Licence validation, initial requests and Upgrades
Summary:    

Can you please test the following areas of the licensing system:

  1. Request for a new licence - if the words DEMO is on the Company name and Database Name, the licence is issued to 60 days, otherwise, the licence is 5/7 days
  2. When the upgrade is performed, the licence is transferred with the correct expiry date if AM is VALID, otherwise, a DEMO Licence is applied.
  3. When the licence expires, the POS system notifies you for 60 days, followed by a complete lockout of POS after 60 days
  4. LinkWEB licence expiry prevents you from Reports and user maintenance
  5. Recover and reset user password
  6. Administrator CHANGE PASSWORD using User Maintenance form

Hi Sanjay,

I did the below test, the licence for the demo database /company was only issued for 7 days. Refer to Table 1.

Tested case with  Version -12.310226 GA

Hi Rashna, the reason is the company name does not have the word "DEMO" in it. Both DB and COmpany names need to have "DEMO"
