Subject: Break hours Not Deducted from Allowance
Summary:

A customer has setup multiple allowances for their employees some of which are given on total hours worked. It has been brought to our attention that the break is not deducted from the total hours of these allowances. Figure 1.1 has a snap of employee highlighting this issue. If we look at Monday, normal hours picked shows 9 hours but the allowance, on the other hand, shows 9.5 hours. Similar discrepancy could be seen for the other days

Development work for this case has been completed.

The change will be available in version: 8.10
Documentation update required(Yes/No. Add change details below):  No
QA required(Yes/No.Include areas that require testing): Yes

The issue was caused by the timesheet details function. This function was not calculating breaks when a shift overlaps past midnight.

The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes and any other relevant information):

  1. Created a new function to compute shift breaks LT_PAY_CalculateShiftBreakMinutesDayOffset_fx. This function handles shifts that overlap past midnight.
  2. Changed the original function LT_PAY_CalculateShiftBreakMinutes_fx to use a day offset as 1. This does not impact any other functionality as this function is only used by the timesheet details function which is by union allowance.
