Subject: Allow the user to delete prescription items from POS
Summary:

Hi Team,

We have the feature to delete all prescription item from POS.

However, the pharmacies are facing issues with the above feature.

  • For example Customer A came in, had 5 items on the prescription.
  • The Pharmacist prepared the labels and passed it to the cashier.
  • The Pharmacist is now processing other prescriptions.
  • While processing the sale for Customer A, customer requested to delete one item from the list as she does not want it any more.
  • Now, the cashier can not delete one single item.
  • She has to delete all the items, inform the pharmacist.
  • The pharmacist, has to stop or wait to complete her current labels so she can void the prescription for customer A.
  • This is a time consuming process and users are wanting the feature to delete single item.

Suggestion

Allow delete of an item from prescription. When cashier the deletes the item, void the prescription line for the deleted item.

Test Plan

TestDescriptionStatus
1Users with access should be ale to delete a prescription line
2Deleting an item should reduce the sale total correctly
3The deleted item should not be printed on receipts
4The deleted item should automatically void the prescription line. Verify the precription screen

Note: If user load a prescription on POS Screen, deletes it then loads it again. this will mark the prescription as COMPLETED.
