Subject: Restaurant/Cafe Setup Kitchen Items view needs to be improved to display Kitchen and Cafe processing forms
Summary:

The Kitchen view is currently not usable as the display has a few faults, namely:

  1. The item does not show on the view
  2. Kit components are no visible
  3. Content is too busy

The Kitchen view needs to be improved as follows:

  1. Change the display so the Items and components are visible
  2. Rearrange the view so it can be understood
  3. Add the ability to load the view without having to log in. This is required as the monitors will not have a keyboard/mouse and should be automatically loaded.

Development work for this case has been completed.

The change will be available in version:11.0.1021

1. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes and any other relevant information):

  1. Rearranged the BI View form to make the items clearly visible
  2. Removed fields that were not necessary
  3. Added arguments to the POS system to allow a batch file to be set on startup. This will allow restaurants with multiple kitchens, to have different views. For example:
    1. "Link Technologies - POS.exe" "BI" "FOOD" will display all BULK Items with category FOOD
    2. "Link Technologies - POS.exe" "BI" "COFFEE" will display all BULK Items with category COFFEE
  4. Added a filter on the BI Extraction to filter by Item CATEGORY. This will allow kitchen screens to be split into multiple views showing a specific category of items in each view
  5. Changed BI Extraction to display KIT Items below the main item, as well as quantities
  6. Corrected alignment of TOP Panel
  7. Increased width of CARD to allow for longer descriptions

2. Affected Areas:

  1. POS Kitchen and Build Views
