We have set up an environment internally and done the following diagnosis.

Environment Details
  1. Server Name - LINKQA4\CP1
  2. Database Name - CLIENT-KUNDAN-HQ-LINKSOFT
  3. Version - 12.32.0409
  4. Login User ID/Password: Admin/Linkfiji123
Diagnosis
  1. Items with zero quantity are picked at a Value in the Valuation Report
  2. Valuation Report is overstated

Bula Team,

As per discussion with Sanjay and Alvis on Tuesday 13/07/2021 they have advised that since there is improvement in Valuation, the Valuation will need to be recalculated from the initial date of the first sale.

The following has been done;
  1. Setup Environment
    • Server - LINKQA4\CP1
    • Database - CLIENT-KUNDAN-HQ-LINKSOFT
    • Version - 12.44.0713.GA
    • Login - admin/Linkfiji123
  2. Upgraded Database to version 12.44.0713
  3. Cleared all History Valuation Data
  4. Re-ran Valuation from 01/11/2017

Once the Valuation has been completed then we will compare the results with the OLD Database.

The Valuation has been completed.

After verifying we have found that Inventory Item with zero Quantity still has a value in the Total Cost column.

PART A - Development work for this case has been completed.

The issue is caused by stock adjustments done with a cost of Zero in previous versions causing the net movement to be out of sync with Stock on hand.

this was corrected in version 11. Since valuation depends on previous stock levels, we need to correct this in the current period to allow the valuation to correctly offset in current and future valuations.

2. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes, and any other relevant information):12.51.0806

  1. Added the ability to Edit the Stock TOTAL COST at the "Valuation Detail level"
  2. Total Stock cost can be amended to correct the value where it is incorrect. This amendment will create two adjustment lines to bring the stock level for the selected period.  Two entries is required as we need a Quantity of (-1 and +1) to balance stock Qty,

4. The issue was caused by:

  1. Prior Version did not use correct stock cost for Negative "in-stock" items
