Subject: Discount is not removed from items in POS when customer is changed.
Summary:

Hi Sanjay,

Discount is not removed from items in POS when customer is changed. This are for line items with allow discount disabled.

Steps to Replicate

  1. Select Credit Sale option
  2. Select customer 0002.
  3. Load and an item, example PNT01. PNT01 does not have "Allow Discount" enabled on 519.
  4. Price of PNT01 is $10.00.
  5. Change the price from $10 to $5 on the POS grid. This marks $5.00 as discount.
  6. Change the customer from 0004.
  7. System prompts the message " Existing Discount will be removed. Would you like to continue"
  8. User clicks "Yes" and changes the customer. However discount is not removed. Price sits at $5.00

Hi Alvis,

Please create the item according to item 3 under steps to replicate. The item needs to have "Allow Discount" disabled.

We have agreed consolidate the two settings and call it "Allow Discount and Price Change"

Regards

Development work for this case has been completed.
The change will be available in version: 8.12
Documentation update required(Yes/No. Add change details below): No
QA required(Yes/No.Include areas that require testing): Yes

The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes and any other relevant information):

  1. The issue was caused by filtering line items where "Allow Discount " was flagged as Yes. We have removed this so that discounts are removed from all lines except deleted or prescriptions.
  2. We cannot consolidate "Allow Discount" and "Price Change" as "Price Change" is used to enable the user to edit the line item price.
  3. "Allow Discount" is used when the user clicks on the discount column.

Although 2 and 3 above achieve the same result, these are derived from two different business aspects.
