Business Scenario

EBS is using the LinkSOFT Bureau Services at this link [https://www.link247.com.au/LinkSOFT-EdgeBusinessSolutions]. The are multiple companies in that Database that are using the Multi-Company feature. To list a few;
  1. 1001 - EDGE Business Solutions Pte Limited
  2. 1002 - Zion Glass & Aluminum Works T/A Ashtray Builders
  3. 1003 - Inex Glass & Aluminium Works
  4. 1004 - Investment Fiji
Company 1001 is used by EBS for processing their staff's Payroll (internal). The access to Company 1001 is given as below;

    2. User Name: Admin
    3. Access: Administrator
  2. Vineshwar
    1. Emp ID: E002
    2. User Name: Vineshwar
    3. Access: Administrator
  3. Nathaniel
    1. Emp ID: E003
    2. User Name: Nathaniel
    3. Access: Employee Self Serve
  4. Navneet
    1. Emp ID: E004
    2. User Name: Navneet
    3. Access: Employee Self Serve
Other Companies are Bureau Services clients. The access to these Companies is given as below;

  2. Vineshwar
    1. Emp ID: E002

    3. Access: Administrator
  3. EBSSupport

    3. This user has been created for client support. This User does not have access to Company 1001. This user has Full access except to the menu User Maintenance & Role Menu Access
  4. Other Clients
    1. They have limited access to the system to perform only the required tasks. They don't have any access to Global Administration.
Issue
  1. We need to give User Maintenace access to the Role "EBSSupport" for Nathaniel & Navneet to provide support to clients relating to user issues. However, this will give them access to edit and enable Company 1001 in the menu ''User Maintenance -> Company Tab'' Edit Form

PART A - Development work for this case has been completed.

2. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes, and any other relevant information):

  1. Added a new security option to "Can EDIT Company Tab in the User Maintenance Form". Default Access = NO
  2. If Access is given, users can EDIT the tab
  3. If No Access - Users can View only
